BCause Foundation is an expert organisation, a recognized leader with more than 25 years experience at national and international level (since 1995).

We encourage people, organizations and communities to transform their lives by developing giving culture and social investment.

• We offer people and companies a choice of important causes for them, security and easy ways of donating (money, time and labor) and satisfaction with the benefits to society;


• We target donor resources and contribute to the financial and organizational strengthening of civic organizations and public institutions;


• We promote and support donation causes;


• We support donors and social entrepreneurs with personalized, high added value services;

- We influence policies and culture in the field of donation and social investment through research, advice and good practice.

 We are well known with our long-term programmes:

• We introduced for the first time the payroll giving mechanism in Bulgaria in 2001
• On-line giving and on-line platform (since 2004)
• Get Ready to Succeed Scholarship programme - supports the education of children and young people without parents who have been raised by relatives or in institutions (since 2005)
• Donor Message Service DMS 17777 (since 2007, in partnership with Bulgarian Donors Forum)
• Transnational Giving Europe – an instrument for easy and tax-effective international giving in Europe, BCause Foundation is a member of the network since 2009
• Pro bono professionals (since 2010)
• Volunteers Days with AmCham (in partnership with American Chamber in Bulgaria, since 2008)
• Photo competition “Philanthropy through the Lens” (in cooperation with the Bulgarian Donors Forum, since 2012)
• Social Enterprises in Bulgaria Forum (since 2013)
• Rinker’s Challenge (since 2014) - a unique start-up entrepreneurship program, managed by Rinker Entrepreneurship and Training Cente at BCause Foundation
• Responsible Company - Responsible Employees (since 2014) – an annual award ceremony in cooperation with The Bulgarian Public Relations Association and the Bulgarian Association for People Management

Since its establishment, the Foundation has received and distributed donations, mainly from donors in Bulgaria, worth over 25 million leva for charity causes - treatment of children and adults, as well as public benefit causes of NGOs in the following areas: Health, Education, Children, Deprived of Parental Care, People with Disabilities, Old People, Ecology, Charity Bazaars & Events, Human Rights, Cities & Communities. 

So far, we have trained more than 400 organizations and public institutions in fundraising, volunteer work, and supported their organizational development.
We also work with decision-makers by providing analyzes and recommendations from our experience and advocating for change in regulations and practices.

BCAF was established in 1995 by leading Bulgarian organizations - Evreka Foundation, Open Society Institute, International Foundation "St. Cyril and Methodius " and the Union of Bulgarian Foundations and Associations, and with the support of the British Charities Aid Foundation
BCAF is part of the worldwide network of Charities Aid organizations headquartered in the United Kingdom. The Charities Aid Foundation UK is a unique organization with a huge contribution to the development of communities around the world through sustainable cross-sectoral partnerships, advocacy and work with governments, grant giving and donation services.
