Animal Rescue Sofia is a Bulgarian organization working to solve the stray dog and cats problem in Sofia. With the help of thousands of people, they created their own shelter for stray animals – the Farm, where 200 cats and dogs can find - 24/7 – medical treatment, care and, eventually, a new family. The ARS team is often called to respond to signals about dogs and cats in distress, and they also work with shelters and partners in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands to find new homes for injured and abused animals. The Farm is also a favorite place for many volunteers, who take care of walking and socializing the animals to help them build and regain their trust in people. – BGN 150 can save the life of a stray dog – including medical treatment, food, vaccinations, etc./. 3000 BGN could help around 20 dogs to be rescued and successfully adopted.
